I am really fond of lichens, but they are either so lovely and moist as to not leave an impression or so dry as to crumble and frustrate. Which is why I carved a stamp. And then went on and glazed the impressions red, so that they look like corals more than anything else. But I’m sure I’d also be fond of corals, were we ever to meet.
